After college, I spent most of my adult career as a US Army Officer serving my country. During this time, I made a decision to become healthy by methodically exercising and making better dietary selections. I witnessed many of my fellow soldiers starting to decline health-wise after having served 20-plus years in the military. This was neither anything I wanted nor desired.
It wasn’t until my late wife passed away of breast cancer at the young age of 42, that I began to truly understand the importance of being physically and emotionally healthy. We had two beautiful young daughters who had lost their mom and I needed to be there for them. As I began to age, my body began to experience some physical pain and discomfort.
Understanding the aging process, I knew that I needed to make a lifestyle change. I am now remarried for over 20 years to an amazing woman and we share a blended family. My “why?” became even bigger. While I don’t get to decide when my last day on earth will be, I do get to choose what quality of life I want to experience while I am still here.
I believe living longer can mean living better. I now spend my time helping individuals improve their quality of life through physical movements and mindfulness. I’m Bill Patterson and I am here to support, serve and help you improve your quality of life.-- WAP
